Red Hat Campus Site License at LSU

LSU has negotiated, in cooperation between the Information Technology Services (ITS) and the Center for Computation and Technology (CCT), a campus-wide site license for Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL).

Terms
This license only covers LSU A&M and does not cover affiliated schools or research centers such as Pennington, the Law School, Vet. Med., and the like. Basic terms of the license are:

Unlimited use of the RHEL Workstation (WS) and RHEL Workstation (ES)are allowed by faculty, staff, and students on any hardware, including both LSU and personally owned equipment, both on-campus and off for non-production use.

Unlimited use of the RHEL Advanced Server (AS) is allowed by faculty, staff, and students on any hardware owned by LSU only.

Specifically, LSU has purchased:

SVC0063/SYS0063 Red Hat Network Proxy Academic Edition

SVC0065/SYS0065 Red Hat Academic WS/AS Production Site Subscription*

SVC0064/SYS0064 Red Hat Academic Non-production Site Subscription**

* The Red Hat Network services purchased here under are purchased as part of a package, not on a per Installed System basis.
** The Red Hat Network services purchased here under are purchased as part of a package, not on a per Installed System basis. The Red Hat Network services for this product may only be used on personal hardware by faculty, staff, and currently enrolled students.
